How I Found Out the Secret to Efficient Employee Monitoring

Managing employees can be a heavy burden. I run a small company with a little over 60 employees. We operate a warehouse so I have three teams; one team for purchases, one for warehouse management and another one for sales. All three teams have separate operations so I couldn’t come up with a uniform employee monitoring procedure that would apply to each department. I needed to know that my purchase department was buying at the right price, my warehouse staff was sending the right consignments and that my sales staff was actually on sales calls.

A friend recommended that I use cell phone monitoring as a method of employee monitoring so I went online and a quick Google search brought me to the homepage of StealthGenie. The impressively designed website offered me a large range of features while it would cost me as low as $8 per month. I went ahead and clicked on ‘Buy Now’.

Compatibility
The main thing I was worried about when looking at cell phone monitoring applications is that while I do issue cell phones to my staff, they don’t all get the same phones. My purchases and sales departments get Blackberry phones while the warehouse staff gets phones that run Android OS. Luckily, StealthGenie is compatible with both operating systems and even works on iOS.

Ease of Management
Since I am monitoring more than 30 employees at the same time (I don’t monitor ALL my employees), I needed to be sure that the reporting procedure would allow me to look at all the stats easily. StealthGenie’s online user interface provides me with the easiest to use format that I can just look through without having to get confused. The installation process for each phone took me about 2-3 minutes while the daily check I perform takes much lesser time than I had expected.

Features
The main features that an employer needs from an employee monitoring software are all present in StealthGenie. Following are some of the features that I have benefited from greatly:

• I can look at all the emails that are exchanged through my employee’s cell phones. I get to look at the email content as well as whom the email has been sent to/received from.
• Finding out the exact GPS location of my sales staff helps me stay on top of their sales routes.
• A number of my employees use Google Talk and Blackberry Messenger to communicate. StealthGenie lets me see all their chat conversations.
• I have the ability to look at all my employee’s call records and even record any calls that I may want to listen to later.
• StealthGenie is totally undetectable. It doesn’t show an icon or any dialog boxes so my employees won’t get a hint that they are being monitored.

Overall Experience
My overall experience with StealthGenie has been pretty smooth. I hardly ever come across any problems with functionality and now I can efficiently perform all my employee monitoring tasks from the comfort of my office desk.
